Ingredients
400g of tagliatelle
3 tablespoons olive oil
2 cloves garlic, finely minced
Zest and juice of 2 large lemons
5cl Epicureans Gin
150ml heavy cream
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Fresh parsley, finely chopped
Freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Pasta : Cook the tagliatelle in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving a cup of the pasta water.
2. Make the Lemon-Gin Sauce : In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant but not browned.
Stir in the lemon zest and juice, and then carefully add the Epicureans Gin. Allow the mixture to simmer for a minute to let the alcohol evaporate slightly and the flavors blend.
Pour in the heavy cream and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes to thicken slightly. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
3. Combine Pasta and Sauce : Add the cooked tagliatelle to the skillet with the lemon-gin sauce. Toss well to coat the pasta evenly. If the sauce is too thick, add a little reserved pasta water to loosen it.
Cook over medium heat for another minute so that the pasta absorbs the flavors of the sauce.
4. Serve : Serve the pasta hot, garnished with chopped parsley and a generous sprinkle of freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
